Raw Tropical Mock-tail
Summer has officially begun in my neck of the woods! The air is nice and warm, the birds are singing, and everything is green! There are sunflowers as my centerpiece on my dining table, and I’m craving iced herbal tea and grilled eggplant. Yes my friends, in my book it really is summer.
After our venture to the beach, I’ve definitely been in a tropical mindset. (forget that NC beaches are far from the tropics both geographically and otherwise) I’ve been in the mood for something that takes me to the tropics in my mind…
Enter the juicer, a pile of delicious fruits and some homemade kombucha. It’s mocktail that smacks of the ocean and will make you feel vivacious and ready to run off to sun, surf, and sand…
1 nubbin ginger
1 slice fresh pineapple (don’t even need to remove the skin)
1 kiwi
1 lime
1/2 lemon
1/2 apple
3 slices cucumber
100 mL kombucha
Juice the ingredients in the order listed, then add the kombucha and stir. Serve immediately and get whisked away to the beach…
