Top 5 Favorite Vegan Products!
I’ve decided to start a little mini series here in Veganland called Top Five Favorites! In this series, I’ll do 5 posts on 5 different topics each containing 5 different components to each theme. These will range from products I love to ways to use household items like baking soda and citrus. The 5 item lists are not in any particular order, just a “if I had to pick 5…” kind of deal instead of a ranking. So to kick off the mini series, I’m going to start off with:
My top 5 favorite vegan culinary products!
Twin Oaks has the best tofu I’ve ever had in my entire life, HANDS DOWN. The tofu is firm and doesn’t even need to be pressed or squeezed to remove excess moisture. Not only is it fantastic to eat, but the company is a worker owned co-operative out of Virginia. I love this tofu, and their business practices which makes it a product that I can really stand (and cook) behind.
2. Luna and Larry’s Coconut Bliss Ice Cream
I’m hoping to do a single review post of these delicious ice creams in the near future! But until then, let me say that they are FABULOUS! Rich creamy, decadent, and GMO and carrageenan free to boot. The flavors are just as fantastic as the ingredients they put into them. You really can’t get any more pure(ly) delicious than this.
3. Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar
Oh ACV, how do I love thee? And how do I describe the many ways that this stuff shows up in my life, let alone my kitchen?! If there was one vinegar I had to spend the rest of my life with, it would be this one. It’s not only raw and non GMO, but also has a multitude of uses from cleaning (stay tuned for my vinegar themed top 5 post!) to delicious salad dressings and marinades. I’ve even heard of people using it as a toner for their skin and hair! Certainly something to Bragg about…Tee hee. (I just had to…)
This brand is produced locally in Hilsborough, NC. It has a delicious smoky flavor and delicate texture that makes it a win over the other big brand stuff they sell just up the street. Tempeh Girl also makes a block tempeh that I’ve yet to try, but if the fakin’ is made from it, my hopes are high and my mouth is watering.
This stuff is my most favorite kombucha in the entire world! Brewed just outside of my hometown of Asheville, NC the folks at Buchi have 3 incredible flavors: Fire, Air, and their limited edition that harks of apple cider. While the Fire is my favorite, I adore whatever comes out of this buchery and the fact that they keep it small, local, and delicious.
What are your top 5 vegan food products and why do you love them?
Bisous!

I keep looking at that coconut ice cream in the shops but I’ve never gotten around to buying it because I wasn’t sure what to expect. In fact, I haven’t had any ice cream at all since going vegan! I could never decide which one to go for – the soy, rice, almond, or coconut =P
I’ll take your word for it and go for the Coconut Bliss then!
Oh please do! Trust me it’s to die for! Except not because it’s cruelty free!
lol! good one XD
and I’m definitely looking forward to that in depth post! In fact, I just got back from the shop but all they had was the soy today (the ‘So Delicious’ one), so I opted to wait till they bring in the next shipment of coconut haha =P
I just adore the Coconut Bliss products! They are delicious and very healthy to boot! Please let me know what you think!
Oh and i’m still hoping to do an even more in depth post on Coconut Bliss soon!
You are the luckiest sister I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting/knowing! ♥
Awesome! =0)
