Whew!
Oh my oh my it’s been quite the week of wonders in my little Veganland! I am sorry I have been absent from the blogosphere of late–but moved we have and we’re adapting and loving our new place of residence. The kitties have learned all about stairs and Beans keeps figuring out new ways to sneak treats from the table, now in our (drum roll please) dining room! We went from a teeny tiny cottage to a beautiful town house that still has a lovely flair. The houses were built in the mid 1960s and we’re loving every inch of our little town home!
I thought I’d share some photos from my adventures of late, as I haven’t been able to blog individually about particular recipes or happenings. (Don’t worry, my top 5 series is still on! Stay tuned! I’ve also been cooking away in my lovely new kitchen, so expect recipes and antics coming soon to a blog near you!) But in the mean time, here are a few photos of happenings in Veganland:
The big, beautiful 80-plus year old tree at our co op was struck by lightning last week! So sad, and yet so striking. Just another poignant reminder of nature’s beauty and might.
Some lovely little heirloom tomatoes Maddie picked up for us at the Farmer’s Market last week. They were so juicy and delicious, I put them in everything including:
Some delicious comfort food! Vegan mac and cheeze with a side of kale laced with those tiny little jewels shown above.
I found this little gem while out on the town, on a sidewalk I’ve sauntered down countless times before. (As I told Maddie when I snapped the picture, “Fairies love mushrooms.” She’s always saying I’m a little fairy!) It’s amazing what you can see when you really look isn’t it?
Bisous!
Rachel

Cheers for moving. Sounds like a fabulous place and can’t wait to see more pics in your new setting.
