100 + Followers update: A Donation to Our Hen House!
Hello Friends! I’ve been as busy as a little vegan bee these past days! As promised, here’s an update on the donation process I went through for Our Hen House! I knew that I wanted to do something special to celebrate reaching the monumental 100 + followers, but at first I wasn’t so sure what I should do to mark the occasion. Then it hit me: why not donate to an organization I adore and feel so strongly about?
Our Hen House is a non-profit organization that is reader and listener supported. Maddie and I just adore their podcast and often look at the postings they create on their blog each day, so I felt that it was time to give a little something back. With my donation, I received an incredible thank you gift that I’ll admit I’ve been eyeing for some time now: the Our Hen House tote bag!
Emblazoned on the side in adorable script with a fantastic design are the words “A place to find our way to change the world for animals”. I feel so super cool carrying this amazing tote around on my arm and showing my vegan pride and Our Hen House support wherever I go! It’s ethically sourced and cruelty free made from recycled plastics and printed with eco-friendly inks. This is an item you can certainly feel good about all the way around! I plan on carrying this bag around this coming fall to my last semester of classes to hold my (note) books and all of the vegan goodies I tote everywhere.

100+ followers! That’s a big milestone! Congrats! I love that the tote is 100% vegan awesomeness. Thank you for the shout out and for your commitment to the animals. I’m very touched that my post had such a profound effect on you, and I admire your courage in looking at the pictures even though a few are hard to look at. That’s what sets vegans apart from the rest: others choose to look away, but we choose to look, take ownership, and do something about it.
