Art!
Not only am I a vegan and a blogger, I’m also an artist and an art historian. This past weekend, I made a couple of photos for my “Identity in Transit” class that looks at (self) portraiture and constructions of identity in photographs. Our most recent assignment was to photograph ourselves with a friend who is different from us in some way. We had to make 2 photos of ourself with this person: one wearing our own clothes, one where we swapped outfits.
We made 3 photos total, mostly because I couldn’t remember which order we were supposed to stand in!
In these photos, I hope to engage issues surrounding both gender (Different from biological sex which is either male or female. Gender is either “masculine” or “feminine” or how we portray what society dictates as going along with either a “man” or a “woman.”) and gender expression (how we “perform” or express our gender). I am interested in the way that we as human beings portray gender and perform our gender identities.
What are your latest creative endeavors?
Bisous!

I like this topic you are exploring, it is very fascinating indeed : )
Last night I had a musical creative endeavor! I learned some basic drum skills from a friend, and just went wild with the drums in general! : ) I think I have finally found an instrument that I can get lost in and have fun with!
