Top Picks for Vegan Winter Wear!
Yesterday’s post was filled with some of my stylecons, favorite outfits, and a few materials to look out for when searching for vegan friendly winter clothes. Today, I give you a few of my picks for vegan winter wear that sacrifices neither fashion nor the well being of animals to get a chic and edgy look in cold weather.
When I’m shopping for clothes online, in person, or at the thrift store there are a few things I look for. When shopping, pay attention to: what you’re getting, where it comes from, and who makes it.
If it’s an item that I’m purchasing online, I usually try and stick to a few trusted suppliers and websites, almost all of which you see in this post. Next, I look at the materials and where they were sourced. I pay special attention to make sure that the materials are free of animal products or derivatives. If I’m buying second hand, I usually don’t pay attention to the clothing’s brand and by default the sources of the materials because I’m not financially supporting that company or its practices, I’m supporting a local charity through shopping at their thrifty palace of goodies! Not only this, but thrift stores are of course some of the most socially conscious clothing sources out there. Not only are you helping out a local charity, you’re also eliminating shipping and the resources it takes to get your goods from one place to another, and you’re not directly supporting companies who exploit animals, workers, and the planet through their business practices.
Just like my Christmas gift guide, just click the photographs below to be whisked away to a website where you can purchase the item. Happy shopping, or gawking, dreaming, and wishing. I know I’m busy making my birthday wish list with these items…
